Brooks Brothers Golden Fleece Cordovan Penny Loafer | Grailed。Well kept pair of size 8.5; Penny Loafer made by Alden for Brooks Brothers in cordovan leather. These loafers spent their life on cedar shoe trees in felt shoe bags. They were conditioned with Saphir shoe cream prior to wearing. . To clear up the pedigree of these shoes please note: Alden made two models of Cordovan loafer for Brooks Brothers one lined and branded Alden. The Penny Loafer version, unlined in cordovan leather and hand sewn. The unlined Penny Loafer version is completely different from the lined version. The lined version having distinctive foxing on the back. If you look at them side by side you will know. I added a photo of the lined version ( last). Coming soon is the Alden “Monk strap” in cordovan leather and the Alden Plain Toe” in black cordovan leather.
